Job Summary
Lead VP in the Investment Accounting Controller Team overseeing financial reporting for a large Commercial Real Estate portfolio. Collaborate on acquisitions, dispositions, and capital restructures; oversee accounting treatment and transaction execution for REA funds and investors; cultivate relationships with investment teams, JV partners, and property managers; provide oversight on GAAP/FV accounting, reconcile operating results, and engage with external auditors and tax practitioners. Requires CPA, 8+ years in real estate accounting, and a strong grasp of complex real estate investment structures, mortgage/lease/purchase agreements, and time-sensitive deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of real estate accounting experience
- Strong understanding of historical cost GAAP and FV reporting standards
- Experience managing consultants and meeting deadlines
