Job Summary
Asset Management - Operations Technology, Production Support Engineer – Associate/ VP role focused on the daily operation and maintenance of the valuation system, monitoring performance and alarms, batch valuation processing, and collaboration with fund accountants and business units. Activities include system upgrades, patching, functional testing, small project delivery, requirements analysis, interface and batch scheduling optimization, and creation of operation manuals and emergency/automation plans. Requires strong Linux and database skills (Oracle/SQL Server), experience with WebLogic/Tomcat, cross-department coordination, and professional English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time bachelor’s degree or above (priority for computer science, information management, financial engineering or related fields)
- 5+ years of experience in financial IT operations and maintenance or application support (preferred in fund companies or asset management)
- Familiar with fund valuation business processes and basic accounting knowledge
- Familiar with valuation system or similar financial valuation system operation and maintenance experience
- Experience in project management or cross-departmental collaboration with ability to handle requirements communication, schedule control, and deliverables for small projects
- Proactive, goal- and results-oriented with strong self-motivation and resilience
- Proficient in Linux; scripting and performance tuning
- Familiar with Oracle/SQL Server; SQL query, performance analysis, and data processing
- Familiar with WebLogic, Tomcat, and application server/middleware maintenance
- Strong problem identification and analysis skills; capable of independent problem resolution during system operation
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to connect with business departments and suppliers
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK project methodologies; basic project planning and tracking
- Good English reading/writing; business English communication
