Job Summary
Lead and oversee the asset management function for a $10B+ commercial real estate debt portfolio, driving strategy, risk management, and value preservation across loans, mortgages, and structured finance. Manage quarterly and annual review processes, monitor loan covenants and collateral, coordinate investor and borrower communications, oversee due diligence responses, support mark-to-market activities, ensure up-to-date documentation, and report to the Real Estate Debt Oversight Committee. Build and mentor a team of asset managers and analysts, foster superior customer experience and stakeholder relationships, and drive risk mitigation and technology-enabled portfolio monitoring and analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate debt asset management, lending, or related fields
- Team leadership and management experience
- Deep operational experience with quarterly and annual review processes
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation methodologies and loan documentation
- Experience overseeing large, complex portfolios including low leverage senior loans and mezzanine positions
- Excellent customer experience and stakeholder management abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience with technology onboarding and process improvement
