Job Summary
Asset Management – GFICC EM Local Debt VP: Own generation, evaluation, and implementation of investment ideas in Emerging Markets local rates and currencies; develop macro views across EM countries/regions and translate into portfolio positioning; collaborate with GFICC platform to integrate cross-sector insights; manage full lifecycle of positions including risk calibration, attribution, and exit; optimize country/curve exposures; produce macro framework and timely, high-conviction recommendations; communicate views to portfolio managers, traders, and client-facing teams; build and maintain models, dashboards, and datasets; leverage coding and LLM tools to accelerate research, backtesting, and documentation; adhere to risk budgets, liquidity profiles, and compliance; prepare investment memos and country updates; report to EM Debt Portfolio Manager/Head of EM Local Rates; location London with travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience managing or taking risk in EM local rates
- hands-on execution in government bonds and interest rate derivatives
- demonstrated track record of alpha generation and sound risk management
- strong macroeconomic grounding and fixed income market expertise
- proficiency with analytical toolsets and coding (Python, R)
- effective communication skills for investment committees and stakeholders
- high attention to detail and organizational skills
