Asset Management Associate

Job Summary

Manage assigned property portfolios as primary contact for investors and lenders, coordinating site inspections and fulfilling reporting requirements. Facilitate compliance with partnership and loan agreements by preparing annual operational budgets, calculating cash flow distributions, and submitting reserve withdrawal requests. Analyze financial reports to problem-solve under-performing assets, develop asset management plans, and forecast long-term outcomes using asset management systems. Collaborate with Property Management, Finance, and Real Estate teams to optimize revenue, manage expenses, and maintain project deal books. Ensure ongoing compliance with documentation and interpret policies supporting owner interests. Requires valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance; must be able to lift 20 pounds and walk properties. Bachelor's degree preferred with three years' experience in financial analysis, asset management, or affordable housing development. CHAM Asset Management Specialist certification preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Three years' experience in financial analysis and reporting, asset management, or affordable housing development including LIHTC
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in financial analysis and Excel spreadsheets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance
  • Ability to transport files up to approximately 20 pounds
  • Ability to lift files up to 20 pounds from the ground level to 4 feet in height, and move them from shelf to shelf in storage
  • Able to talk or hear using telephone
  • Able to sit at desk for extended periods of time
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Walking- moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly walking a property. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions inside and outside

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study preferred
  • CHAM Asset Management Specialist certification preferred
  • Real estate acumen, affordable housing preferred
