Job Summary
Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities while gathering and translating business and technical requirements into actionable solutions. Evaluate, design, and improve systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency, then configure systems, perform testing, and support implementation and ongoing maintenance. Lead or contribute to projects and programs including scoping, planning, execution, and documentation, while consulting with stakeholders to provide recommendations and communicate findings. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that support decision-making across the organization. Hybrid work options are available; the successful candidate will work at the 1411 E. Mission, Spokane, WA, office at least three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree or two years' relevant course work in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field
- BA/BS degree preferred
- 2+ years' relevant experience
- General knowledge of a variety of end-user tools and applications, such as CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, Excel, or GL Wand
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
- Ability to logically analyze problems of limited complexity, analyze data, and reach logical conclusions
- Ability to create basic queries within a domain
- Understanding of utility business and operations preferred
- BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field
- 3+ years' relevant experience
- General knowledge of a variety of end-user tools and applications, such as CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, MS Office, GL Wand, SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel
- KSAs of BA I and ability to create moderately complex queries within a domain
- Ability to perceive and define cause-and-effect relationships in business processes and systems
- Skill in understanding the implications of new information for current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Demonstrated skill in the use of analytical tools and data analysis methods
- Related project management and business analysis experience preferred
- 6+ years' relevant experience
- Related project management, business analysis experience
- Knowledge of utility business and operations required
- Working knowledge of a variety of end-user tools and applications, such as CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, MS Office, GL Wand, SQL, Tableau, advanced Excel, ARC GIS, SCADA, Visual Studio, Visio, Adobe Pro, Project, TFS or Pi
- KSAs of BA II AND ability to develop level-appropriate procedures
- Skill in researching, writing, and presenting complex analysis
- Demonstrated ability at conducting and analyzing complex analysis and research and communicating results to a broad variety of audiences
- 8+ years' relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of end-user tools and applications, such as CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, MS Office, GL Wand, SQL, Tableau, advanced Excel, ARC GIS, SCADA, Visual Studio, Visio, Adobe Pro, Project, TFS and Pi, R/Python, Alation, MATLAB, or Optimization
- KSAs of BA III AND advanced skills in the use of analytical tools and data analysis methods
- Ability to perform specialized queries within a domain
- Skill in evaluating alternative solutions, conclusions, approaches to problems
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for meaningful improvements
- Skill in assessing the performance of others and to take corrective action as necessary
- Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our 1411 E. Mission, Spokane, WA. office at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with additional day(s) determined by the manager
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records review
Desired Qualifications
- Business Analyst I
- Financial modeling experience, including Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Probabilistic Analysis, IRR Calculations, and Alternative/Scenario Analysis preferred
- Advanced knowledge with Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance preferred
- Advanced knowledge with SQL and Oracle databases for data extraction, transformation, and analysis preferred
- Experience with AI agents and automation tools such as Power Automate preferred
