Job Summary

The Asset Integrity Department Manager at Orbital Engineering will oversee operational control of AIT services including scheduling field work, performing reviews of deliverables, supporting client relationships, and developing management strategies. Responsibilities involve preparing project proposals, estimating costs, coordinating manpower and field work, and ensuring adherence to procedures and policies. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience, along with strong leadership and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include E.I.T. designation and exposure to industrial environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Five years or more of experience in engineering, technical design, and management
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field
  • Ability to effectively organize multiple complex assignments and competing priorities
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or foundation design
  • Computer proficiency including general office products, design, and business enterprise software
  • Reasoning skills and ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to lead staff, deliver assignments and demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Ability to travel to client facilities and perform field inspections at higher elevations and confined spaces
  • Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Ability to pass a fit for duty test

Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates with E.I.T. designation
  • Exposure to heavy industrial environments and marketplaces
  • Prior knowledge or experience with licenses and certifications such as OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification, MSHA Part 46/48 certification, TWIC card, Aerial lift training and certification, Confined space training and competence
  • Non-destructive testing experience (UTT, PT, MT, VT)
  • Knowledge of API 510, 570, and 653
  • Understanding of codes including IBC, AISC, ASCE, ASME, and API

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in a reasonable commuting distance to Hammond, IN; No relocation assistance or per diem will be provided
