Job Summary
Monitor and address compliance and asset management issues for New Market Tax Credit investments across underwriting, closing, and disposition stages. Deliver required reviews and work product on pre-closing and post-closing financial models, construction budgets, and draw reviews for client projects. Verify and analyze community impact reporting, borrower certifications, and annual questionnaires while assessing project risks against Section 45 provisions and operating agreements. Maintain database integrity for compliance data and construction updates, designating risk ratings and preparing periodic internal reports for management. Collaborate with investors, lenders, and developers to mitigate risk and extend Baker Tilly services beyond current transactions.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree
- 1 year professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field
- Strong aptitude with information technology
- Proficient skills in word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Ability to recognize financial issues through review of borrower financial statements
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and outside business professionals
- Self-starter who exhibits the drive and resourcefulness to work independently and with team members toward common Company goals
- Ability to work in an evolving, team oriented environment
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to accept new challenges as assigned
