Job Summary
Assessment Specialist 2 at The Care Center, Inc. for a part-time role performing initial screenings and comprehensive clinical assessments to determine service needs for mental health, drug and alcohol, and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities include completing initial screenings and scheduling appointments, conducting comprehensive mental health/drug/alcohol/co-occurring assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using individual, marital, group, and family methodologies with at least 60% direct service, serving on an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, participating in Case Conferences, possibly carrying a small outpatient caseload, initiating intra- and inter-agency contacts to facilitate client care, and preparing/maintaining case records and required documentation. Must be available for a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, etc.). Qualifications include a Master’s degree in a clinical field or active licensure with mental health clinical experience, ability to obtain Mental Health Professional credential, ability to obtain required clearances (Criminal History, Child Abuse, FBI), and not being excluded from Medicare/Medicaid. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related clinical discipline including a clinical practicum or be licensed in a clinical discipline with mental health clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain the designated managed care credential of Mental Health Professional.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during a personal interview to make proper recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.
- Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police and Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care programs.
