Job Summary
Conduct routine and complex administrative duties and GIS support functions for the Assessor's Office, managing property records, parcel mapping, and data valuation. Assist customers in person and by phone to locate records, complete forms, and provide information on property maps and County services. Enter, maintain, and analyze property and GIS data while processing documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Respond to inquiries from the public, County departments, and external agencies regarding data requests and boundary determinations. Review work for accuracy, coordinate with mapping and appraisal functions, and assist with statutory reporting and parcel changes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- One year of experience providing customer service and performing administrative duties with proficiency in basic computer software applications
- Two years of experience providing customer service and performing administrative duties with high proficiency in relevant computer software applications
- One year of experience in an Assessor's office or a related organization with demonstrated proficiency with relevant GIS software
- Completion of 32 hours of Division of Property Tax classes, including Intro to Assessment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasional travel within the County
- Ability to work outside the established work week, such as after hours or on the weekend
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check which will include a Criminal Background Check, Employment Verification, and Motor Vehicle Record Check
