Job Summary
The Assembly & Test Technician role involves hands-on assembly and testing of aerospace components and subsystems. Responsibilities include interpreting mechanical drawings, operating test equipment, documenting assembly and test results, adapting to new products, and communicating defects to engineering. Candidates should possess sharp hands-on technical instincts and a high standard for workmanship, with 2+ years of experience in assembly or testing in aerospace or precision manufacturing. Must be able to work independently and efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or testing within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications
- Skilled with mechanical hand tools
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or testing within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment
- Experience operating, programming, or setting up automated or semi-automated test equipment
- Experience building and testing avionics, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or power electronics components
- Experience operating plastic injection molding equipment
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems
