Job Summary
Perform sub-assembly and final assembly of mechanical and electrical components using calibrated equipment, drawings, schematics, and written/verbal instructions to meet customer specifications and ISO standards. Utilize hand and power tools to assemble and wire products, apply trade skills in electrical and mechanical domains, and ensure product quality through ongoing inspection. Read and interpret sketches/blueprints, prepare required parts and documentation, and coordinate with engineers and technicians to resolve assembly discrepancies. Maintain a clean, safe work area and operate overhead hoist/crane for handling heavy assemblies. This role requires familiarity with mechanical and electromechanical components and adherence to ISO procedures to support Lou-Rich’s manufacturing operations in Hayward, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret sketches and/or blueprints
- Follow ISO procedures
- Use calibrated equipment and machinery to perform assembly
- Lift and position assemblies
- Operate overhead hoist/crane to assist with movement of assemblies
- Maintain documentation on work performed
- Inspect parts and perform quality checks during assembly
- Familiarity with mechanical and electromechanical components
- Thorough understanding of part prints (tolerances, symbols)
