Assembly Technician (In-Store)

Job Summary
In-store merchandise assemblers needed to service multiple retail chains by assembling wheelbarrows, grills, toolboxes, fitness equipment, gazebos, and patio furniture across Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg area stores. Responsibilities include following detailed assembly instructions, ensuring a quality product, communicating with store management, keeping work areas clean and hazard-free, reporting defective parts, and using a smartphone app to update job status. Must be 18+, bring required hand/power tools, be able to lift up to 65 pounds, and work with minimal supervision. 1099 independent contractor with piece-rate pay; flexible schedules including weekends; prior assembly experience preferred (1 year) and high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training provided; opportunities for advancement. Flexible schedules; weekly pay; paid training; production incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Read and execute assembly instructions, drawings, and manuals
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and a good communicator
- Must have own tools (impact driver w/bits, sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter)
- Good communication skills; be professional & respectful
- Must stand & bend for long periods of time, with the ability to lift 65 pounds regularly
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to drive at least a 25-mile radius
- Must have a working mobile phone
