Assembly Technician I

Job Summary
Perform printed wire board assembly, conformal coating, potting, ultrasonic cleaning, coil winding, evac & backfill, component forming, wire wrapping, and painting under direct supervision. Execute bench and leak testing, document results, and assess component failures to determine causes and rework procedures. Work from blueprints, drawings, and visual instructions while maintaining ESD, explosive handling, and general soldering certifications. Make engineering recommendations for process modifications and support ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Control initiatives. Train employees and remain flexible across various work cells. Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM EST.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- 6 months - 1 year of mechanical assembly experience
- Basic knowledge of computers and associated software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Attain security clearance
- Maintain certifications as required by programs or process such as ESD, explosive handling, and general soldering (IPC J-STD-001)
- Basic knowledge of computers and associated software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Skills or willingness to perform laser welding operations
- Must be available for Monday - Friday - 1st Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM EST
- Must be available for on-site work in Middletown, CT
Desired Qualifications
- General soldering experience (IPC J-STD-001) preferred
