Job Summary
Assist with implementing projects of customized LED components and systems while performing a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks. Follow established procedures to check, test, and inspect finished goods for electrical function, reliability, and packaging quality before shipping. Conduct tests on electrical function and record results, using metrology tools like calipers and multimeters to evaluate product conformance. Operate and maintain modern office equipment and specialized software applications. Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with basic safety practices and procedures. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at $20.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one (1) year of relevant experience
- equivalent experience and training
- Ability to safely use various metrology tools equipment including but not limited to, calipers, handheld photometer, and a multimeter for purposes of evaluating product conformance
- Ability to strategize, plan, organize, prioritize, and execute a variety of multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner
- Work with low voltage electricity
- Use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy, procedural, and safety guidelines
- Effectively communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of quality best practices that can be applied in the company's environment
- Knowledge of principles and practices of continuous improvement
- ISO regulations
- Knowledge of LED's, LED drivers, controls, basic lighting terminology, photometry, and applications
- Knowledge of test equipment including multimeters, calipers, and handheld photometers
