Job Summary
Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components following engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Use hand and power tools for wiring, torquing, drilling, tapping, adhesive bonding, lubricating, and wiring; operate calibrated equipment; inspect incoming hardware; follow EHS and safety procedures; maintain quality documentation; contribute to wind turbine documentation and process improvements; operate forklift and crane; perform documentation and record-keeping; participate in safety and process-improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
- Must pass background and drug screens
- Willing and able to work any shift and overtime including weekends
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation
- Manufacturing/mechanical experience using electrical and pneumatic hand tools
- Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories
- Complete and maintain Characteristic Verification Plan (CVP) Certification
- Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
- Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
- Follow and promote safe work practices
- Communicate effectively with others
