Job Summary
Install, align, connect, and fasten components into sub-assemblies or larger assemblies while operating hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment in accordance with standard work instructions. Read blueprints and schematics to guide assembly actions, use measuring and inspecting equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications, and perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on prescribed equipment. Conduct all activities safely in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety policies, wear prescribed PPE, and use computer software to display instructions and track work progress. Provide timely communications on significant issues, support root cause and corrective action plans, and ensure accurate timekeeping is captured on every task. This role follows a three-day workweek with three 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday at our Centennial, Colorado facility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, standard Work Instruction adherence, hand-tool utilization, and lean manufacturing
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and task execution skills
- A high degree of initiative and the ability to learn quickly through verbal instructions and hands-on experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity
- Ability to effectively communicate in person and via telephone or other electronic devices
Desired Qualifications
- Strong preference given to candidates with Airframe & Powerplant or similar training /certification
- Experience working with gas turbine engines for aviation product applications
