Job Summary
Read electrical schematics and engineering drawings to build control panels, enclosures, and complete mechanical and electrical wiring of industrial machinery. Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic components while pulling parts from the Kanban system and submitting cards as needed. Inspect incoming and completed work for defects, verifying dimensions and conformance to specifications. Collaborate with engineers to provide redline drawings and feedback on machine builds. Maintain housekeeping in the work area and perform all tasks safely according to company policies. Operate a forklift and lift up to 70 lbs. This role focuses on dry ice manufacturing equipment assembly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience wiring and assembling industrial machinery to completion
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics
- Familiar working with mechanical and electrical/controls engineers on new equipment builds
- Able to read and understand mechanical detail and assembly drawing and bills of material
- Able to assemble pneumatic components per pneumatic diagrams and schematics
- Close attention to detail and understanding of good workmanship practices in the assembly of high-value equipment
- Familiar with hand tools used in electro-mechanical assembly
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull and lift up to 70 lbs
- Good communication skills
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems well
- Able to operate a forklift
