Assembly Technician

Job Summary
As an In-Store Merchandise Assembler, you will service several retail chains in the McDonough area by building items such as wheelbarrows, grills, toolboxes, fitness equipment, gazebos, and patio furniture per manager instructions, following detailed assembly guidelines, checking for missing pieces, keeping work areas clean and hazard-free, and reporting issues. You will communicate with store management, use a smartphone app to check schedules and update job status, and work with minimal supervision. The role offers paid training, flexible schedules, and advancement opportunities; compensation is piece-rate and paid per finished item with on-site training provided. The position is advertised as Full-time, part-time, and on-call with a 1099 independent contractor arrangement upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Read and execute assembly instructions, drawings, and manuals
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and a good communicator
- Quick learner
- Must have own tools (impact driver w/bits, sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter)
- Must stand & bend for long periods, lift 65 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to drive at least a 25-mile radius
- Must have a working mobile phone
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiar with hand tools, power tools
- 1-year previous assembly experience
- Own tools (impact driver w/bits, sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter)
