Job Summary
In-Store Merchandise Assembler responsible for assembling items at retail partners (e.g., Lowe's, Home Depot) in the Griffin, GA area. Follow detailed assembly instructions, ensure quality and completeness of products, check for missing pieces, and report issues or defective parts. Communicate effectively with store management and staff; keep work areas clean and hazard-free; use a smartphone app to update schedules and manufacturing status. Requires own tools (impact driver w/bits, sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter), ability to lift up to 65 pounds, and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation within ~25 miles. Training is provided; pay is piece-rate with opportunities for advancement; flexible schedules with both full-time, part-time, and on-call roles; 1099 independent contractor arrangement. The role involves visiting multiple store locations to assemble products like wheelbarrows, grills, toolboxes, fitness equipment, gazebos, and patio furniture as requested by store management; aim is to keep display areas showroom-ready and support busy retail periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must have own tools (impact driver w/bits, sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to drive at least a 25-mile radius
- Must have a working mobile phone
- Read and execute assembly instructions, drawings, and manuals
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and a good communicator
- Must stand & bend for long periods of time, with the ability to lift 65 pounds regularly
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Familiar with hand tools, power tools (preferred)
- 1-year previous assembly experience (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Availability Monday-Friday, day shift 9a–6p; weekends available
- Full-time, part-time, and on-call positions available
