Job Summary
Assembly Technician needed to assemble and repair merchandise at local Home Depot/Lowe's stores, working on-site with seasonal demand. You’ll follow manufacturer instructions, build various products (barbecues, wheelbarrows, lawn tractors, work benches, furniture), provide customer service, verify build lists and inventory with store management, generate invoices daily, and maintain a safe, clean workspace. Pay starts around $15–$25 per hour on a per-piece basis, with experienced techs earning more; compensation transitions with productivity and local minimum wage applies. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, physical activity, independent work, and opportunities for growth as you learn products and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Day-shift/early morning availability
- Self-motivated: able to work hard with minimal supervision
- A mechanical aptitude: you are handy
- Has Basic hand tools, cordless screw gun, or impact driver
- A smartphone and e-mail address
- Internet access via a smartphone or mobile device
- Ability to pass a background test
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Reliable transportation
- Capable of working on your feet for extended periods
- Kneel, bend, twist, and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Experience is a plus, but we will train
