Assembly Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Perform all required production tasks including assembly, machine operation, packing, and inspection across primary and secondary product lines. Operate secondary machining equipment such as saws and drill presses, while inspecting materials and finished goods to detect defects and maintain quality standards. Clean and pack products to shipping specifications, monitor inventory levels via Kanbans, and restock to avoid production interruptions. Support production scheduling by completing assigned work orders accurately and on time, and report material shortages or process deviations to supervisors. Comply with all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and the 5S program by using appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean work environment. This second shift role (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) pays $20.00 to $24.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow work orders, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and standard operating procedures
- Basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative production environment
- Self-motivated individual contributor with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Flexible and adaptable; able to shift between tasks and assignments as production needs change

- Must be available for second shift hours of 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to walk throughout the production floor
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle tools, parts, and equipment
- Must be able to reach with arms and hands
- Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times in designated areas
- Must be able to comply with all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company employee guidelines
- Must be able to participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and incident reporting as required

- Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment
