Assemble and disassemble parts and subassemblies following schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions while utilizing hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Conduct thorough inspections to check for defects, perform quality control checks, and troubleshoot assembly issues to maintain production standards. Position and align components manually or using hoists, verify specifications by measuring completed components, and maintain equipment through preventive maintenance. Prepare for work by studying parts lists, document actions via forms and reports, and ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety procedures. Requires high school diploma, strong mechanical understanding, and ability to lift heavy objects. Certification in electronic assembly is an advantage.
