Job Summary
Lead day-to-day shop floor operations to meet daily/weekly output targets while ensuring safety and quality. Direct a team of production assemblers, provide hands-on supervision, coaching, and training to build capability and ensure process consistency. Communicate production status across departments, escalate issues, and coordinate troubleshooting to maintain workflow. Maintain a clean, organized work environment per 6S; apply VTPS principles for continuous improvement; serve as the primary SME for assembly processes. Manage labor transactions and routing in Encompix, lead performance management for direct reports (goal setting, feedback, evaluations, development planning), and ensure reliable attendance and professionalism. Report to Flow Team Manager and assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Skills/Knowledge/Experience include reading engineering drawings/schematics/diagrams, proficiency with hand/tools, leadership and supervision of a small team, and on-site collaboration in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of assembly experience required
- 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a small team
