Job Summary
Supervise daily manufacturing activities across Electrical Assembly, Paint, Plating, Deburring, Testing, Welding, Mechanical Assembly, Sheet Metal, and PCM Fill departments to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production of aerospace and defense products. Execute production schedules, coordinate manpower and equipment, and monitor metrics including productivity, scrap, and rework while resolving quality, safety, or delivery issues. Directly manage team members, enforce workmanship standards, and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Maintain ISO9001/AS9100 compliance, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. This role requires flexibility for overtime, evenings, and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience managing multiple manufacturing disciplines simultaneously
- Must have good leadership skills and be capable of training team members
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Must be capable of working with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands
- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframes specified by the Manager
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime
- Must be able to work overtime, in the evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
- Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions
- Ability to add and subtract decimals out to 4 places
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's & 100's
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, and hear
- Must frequently use hands and fingers; handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to handle hot and/or cold work environment chemicals, fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to handle loud noises, risk of electrical shock and vibration low and high temperatures and/or other occupational hazards
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes preferred
