Job Summary
Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Assembly leads hands-on sheet metal control house assembly, provides technical guidance, and mentors team members. Responsible for best practices, troubleshooting complex assembly issues, and driving continuous improvement, safety, and quality. Partners with training to develop work instructions, SOPs, and visual aids; collaborates with engineering, quality, and production planning to ensure efficient workflows and timely delivery. May fill in for Leads or Supervisors during vacations. Requires reading blueprints and strong safety discipline; welding/fabrication experience is a plus; forklift experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions
- Welding and fabrication experience (a plus)
- Forklift certification or experience (desired)
- Ability to train and mentor others in a production setting
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders up to 10 feet
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness
