Job Summary

Read blueprints and work instructions to determine materials, tools, and assembly steps for medical chairs and cabinets. Cut and prepare wood, MDF, or laminate using saws or routers, then assemble components with hand and power tools. Finish surfaces by sanding, sealing, or painting, and attach hardware like handles and drawer slides. Ensure final products meet quality standards by checking alignment, durability, and finish. Clean and maintain an orderly work area while wearing required PPE in a warehouse environment. Occasional lifting of items up to 80+ pounds is required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of cabinetry, woodshop or working with hand tools or assembly
  • Attention to detail
  • Dependability (arrive on time and perform your work)
  • Cooperation and collaboration with coworkers and supervisor
  • Desire to learn your job and other tasks to improve your productivity and skill
  • Occasionally lift and move items weighing about 30-50 pounds but occasionally using lifts for items weighing up to 80+ pounds
  • Be detail-oriented in following directions to avoid errors, making improvements to your own work, and accepting feedback and coaching
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)—safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection

  • Reading Blueprints or Drawings and work instructions - Understand technical plans or instructions to determine materials, tools, and assembly steps
  • Cutting and Preparing Materials - May involve working with pre-cut parts or trimming wood, MDF, or laminate to size using saws or routers
  • Assembling Components
  • Finishing Work - Sanding, sealing, or painting surfaces; attaching hardware like handles, hinges, and drawer slides
  • Quality Control - Ensuring final products meet standards—checking for alignment, durability, and finish quality
  • Using hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, clamps, and others to to cut, strip, and crimp wires and connectors in place
  • Power tools (drills, pneumatic nailers, sanders, grinders, routers)
  • Fasteners (screws, nails, wood glue)
  • Clean and maintain an orderly work area
