Assembly Production Operator

Job Summary
Operate assembly, molding, trimming, and drilling machines to produce parts while reading work orders, formulas, and processing charts. Position and secure inserts, hand load work pieces, remove finished products using hand tools and air hoses, and file, deburr, sand, grind, or polish objects. Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects using precision instruments to maintain Techniplas and customer quality standards. Perform re-work duties, fill documentation labels, conduct final packaging, and execute clean-up procedures. Relieve other operators for breaks as needed. Must be able to work standing for an entire shift with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- A high school education, diploma, or GED
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work standing for an entire shift with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English or Spanish
- Must be reliable and on time
- Attendance is crucial
- Must pass our mandatory drug screening

- Good written/verbal communication skills

- Strong attention to detail
- A strong mechanical/technical aptitude or background with a willingness to learn
- Reading comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
- Language - read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Mathematics - knowledge of basic math and their applications
- Writing - complete paperwork and documents at the workstation
- Manual dexterity - ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or both hands to grasp or assemble objects. Ability to coordinate your limbs while sitting or standing
