Assembly Production Manager

Job Summary
Leads daily assembly production operations, setting priorities to ensure output meets schedule, quality, and safety standards. Supervises Production Supervisors and Line Leaders, manages staffing, scheduling, and performance. Tracks KPIs (OLE, productivity, quality, labor efficiency) and drives corrective actions. Coordinates work orders, capacity planning, and labor allocation to meet daily/monthly demand. Ensures compliance with safety standards, GMP/GDP, and company policies; conducts floor walks. Maintains WIP inventory accuracy and production reporting with data integrity. Leads continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Facilitates daily production meetings and communicates goals, issues, and performance updates to leadership. Supports onboarding and training, maintains training matrix and workforce readiness. Partners cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize materials, processes, and output.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of 10 years with related assembly manufacturing experience
- 5 years in a leadership role, leading Production Supervisors and Line Leads
- Ability to read and interpreting assembly drawings
- 3 years of experience in Mechanical assembly is a plus
- Effective communication skills preferred
- Must be able to read and work from drawings and work instructions, have a good mechanical aptitude in math
- Basic knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing required
- English/Spanish spoken
