Job Summary
The Assembly Process Engineer will focus on manufacturing methods with an emphasis on ergonomics, efficiency, productivity, and process error proofing. Responsibilities include leading productivity workshops to reduce manufacturing costs, aiding in design for manufacturability, creating and managing work instructions and PFMEAs, launching new assembly lines and products, driving successful customer-focused results, and collaborating with vendors for new equipment. A successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or another Engineering discipline
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and ergonomics
- Strong understanding of cycle time, machine cycle time, TAKT time, and work content analysis
- Experience writing and implementing work instructions, PFMEA, process validation plan and control plan and all process documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs and robotic programming
- Experience working with outside vendors on quote preparation and procuring process improvement equipment
