Job Summary
Lead day-to-day floor operations for the Assembly/Pack Department, ensuring production goals are met, schedules stay on track, and safety compliance with 5S, SDS, and audit requirements is maintained. Coach the team on "first-time quality" standards, process improvements using Lean principles and PDCA, and customer feedback. Assign resources effectively to drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and continuous improvement while modeling safe work practices. Communicate openly, coach team members on personal and process growth, and champion company values through open collaboration and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set expectations and hold the team accountable
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- A track record of driving safety, quality, and efficiency improvements
- Solid communication skills and a passion for coaching and developing people
- Problem-solving ability with a continuous improvement mindset
- At least 5 years of experience leading people in a lean manufacturing environment
- A bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on leadership experience in manufacturing
- A track record of making good decisions and delivering results in a fast-paced setting
- Strong people skills and the ability to build trust and lead a team
- A sharp eye for detail
- Comfort juggling multiple priorities and adjusting when things change
- Experience leading projects from start to finish and meeting deadlines
- The ability to work through challenges in a collaborative, solution-focused way
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
