Assembly Operator - PaintLine Weekend AM Shift

Job Summary
Work according to operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform assembly operations. Check products and component dimensions using gauges, change fixtures for changeovers, and visually inspect for defects. Input daily data to support manufacturing and quality reports while maintaining a clean work area per 5S policy. Comply with TS16949 and ISO14000 standards and suggest continuous improvement programs. Communicate machine issues with support staff. This role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 40 pounds frequently, and experience in electronic or mechanical equipment assembly. Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday AM shift with 12 working hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have acceptable scores on pre-employment assessments
- Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 40 pounds frequently
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly
- Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts/products
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to wear hat, safety glasses and steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas
- Must be available for F shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday AM shift 12 working hours/day
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing / industrial experience specifically in electronic/mechanical equipment assembly or high speed equipment operation
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve production goals including cycle time, Takt time, scrap rates, etc.
- Experience with 5S policy
