Job Summary
Operate automated equipment for constructing scoreboards and video displays while reading technical drawings and safely using hand tools. Produce products in a safe, accurate, and timely manner within a clean, well-lit manufacturing environment. Learn products, systems, and processes with opportunities for development, while maintaining steady hand-eye coordination and identifying wire colors. Work from heights on ladders and platforms, standing for extended periods with planned breaks, and wear all required personal protective equipment including safety glasses and boots. Be flexible to work in other departments as needed and complete other duties assigned to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work overtime when overtime shifts are scheduled
- Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours
- Good communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and successfully participate as a member of a team
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials in accordance with the ergonomic and safety guidelines established by NOM-036-STPS-2018
- Ability to stand for the full shift with planned breaks
- Ability to work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms
- Ability to reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including some awkward reaching to insert components in difficult to reach sections of the product
- Ability to maintain steady hand/eye coordination
- Ability to identify wire and paint colors
- Ability to read fine print
- Age 18 years or older
