Job Summary
Verify lens options, color, shade, and gradient application; insert lenses into frames using hand tools; and perform cosmetic checks. Secure lenses and align small eyeglass screws while adjusting frames via heat or cool methods. Apply requested lens treatments and maintain equipment, workstations, and facility cleanliness. Comply with Z87 safety eyewear validation and Quality Management System regulations. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform general mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instruction
- Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to work onsite and participate in interactive onsite meetings on a regular and predictable basis
- Ability to initiate immediate interaction, coordination and collaboration with team members, clients, customers etc
- Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, pick or pinch, and talk or hear most of the time
- Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use two or more people to lift loads heavier than 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
- One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred
- Endorsement needed for Tint Tech process for chemical use
- Endorsement for Assembly
- Endorsement for manual finish blocking
