Job Summary

Read engineering drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements for structural components. Assemble structural elements including beams, frames, panels, and brackets using hand and power tools, operating ream fixtures to drill, ream, and bore for mating assemblies. Install press fit and force fit bushings, then assemble aircraft and spacecraft parts while ensuring proper alignment and connection. Test assembled systems for functionality and compliance with quality standards, and troubleshoot structural malfunctions or defects. Collaborate with engineers to resolve design or assembly issues and maintain accurate records of inventory and test results. Adhere to safety protocols while working on elevated surfaces and handling materials up to 35 lbs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and procedures
  • Experience with sheet metal assemblies, drilling, countersinking, riveting, and fastener installation
  • Experience in electrical assembly installation
  • Experience in assembly or mechanical work
  • Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
  • US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
  • Must be able to work any shift, as assigned
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Aircraft assembly experience
  • Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
