Job Summary
Assemble, install, and test structural components and systems for aircraft/spacecraft structures in a 100% onsite Boeing Defense, Space and Security environment. Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings and specifications, assembling beams/frames/panels/brackets, drilling, reaming, countersinking, spot facing, and honing for mating major assemblies, installing bushings, performing precision assembly with or without fixtures, and testing to ensure functionality, safety, and quality compliance. Collaborate with engineers to resolve design/assembly issues, maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, and adhere to safety protocols in a production environment. Requires hands-on use of hand and power tools, attention to tolerances, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and procedures
- Experience with sheet metal assemblies, drilling, countersinking, riveting, and fastener installation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
