Job Summary
Assemble, install, and test structural components and systems for aerospace aircraft and spacecraft according to engineering specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications; assemble structural components (beams, frames, panels, brackets) using hand tools and power tools; set up and operate fixtures to drill, ream, countersink, spot-face, hone, and bore mating major assemblies; install press-fit bushings; file, fit, hone, ream, drill, tap, saw, burr and adjust; assemble production aircraft/spacecraft parts and install equipment; ensure proper alignment and connection; test assembled structures to verify functionality, safety, and quality. Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve design or assembly issues; maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including inventory, work orders, and test results; adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. This role requires a US Person per export control requirements and may include relocation eligibility based on candidate qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent military experience
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or structural work
- Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
- Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15
