Job Summary

Assembly Manufacturing Engineer responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and drive improvements in manufacturability, yield, performance, quality, and reliability of power products. Lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines and processes; implement process changes and equipment modifications. Participate in reviews to ensure design for manufacturability best practices are followed and ramp new products from R&D while monitoring performance. Create and update detailed documentation for processes and procedures; direct and manage design implementation of required process changes and modifications. Plan and conduct complex projects, work with contract manufacturing engineering and suppliers; prevent quality excursions, monitor process performance, and analyze data to detect anomalies. Requires 3+ years in manufacturing and a BS in an engineering discipline; strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and PM skills; proficiency with FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, DOE and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC); ability to work with urgency. Preferred: experience with 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, JMP; semiconductor manufacturing (Testing, Dicing, Inspection, Sorting). Required Qualifications

  • 3 years or more of experience in a manufacturing field
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Process, or Industrial Engineering or Applied Science
  • interpersonal, communication, collaborative and project management skills
  • experience with engineering tools such as FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Design of Experiments and structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC)
  • experience delivering results in fast-paced high-volume manufacturing
  • preferred skills: Inspection, and sorting (die picking); Lean/Six Sigma; JMP for data review/analytical studies; semiconductor manufacturing (Testing, Dicing, Inspection, Sorting)
  • ability to work with sense of urgency
