Job Summary
Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly, integration and environmental test plans and procedures. Learn to use test equipment (thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, oscilloscopes) to execute test plans and coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts. Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Strong interest in hardware development and ability to manage multiple tasks with good communication. Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation. Onsite requirement: 5 days a week. Bonus: Python coding to interface with test equipment and process data, CAD, direct electrical or mechanical design experience, and debugging hardware/software under time pressure. Base pay is $29.00 per hour. Citizenship/residency required as described.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
