Job Summary
Operate chemical processing systems and control equipment while monitoring panel alarms and responding to process indicators. Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures, conduct preventative maintenance, and execute cleaning and purging tasks. Inspect production lines for leaks and hazards, record instrument readings in shift logs, and calculate raw material requirements. Liaise between production and maintenance teams to address repairs and support process improvement projects within a LEAN environment. Ensure all parameters and EHS safety requirements are followed daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Aptitude on chemical and mechanical/ electrical operating systems
- Interpersonal skills to communicate and lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment effectively
- Positive work ethic and attitude
- Willingness to learn and meet expectations of the various assignments
- Dependability
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivation
- Strong team player
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to wear a respirator and other job related Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to repeatedly climb and descent stairs/ladders
- 3 plus years' experience
- Working knowledge of chemicals and mechanical systems
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree
- 3 to 5 years of chemical manufacturing job-related experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
