Assembly and Test Mechanic , Weekend Shift ( Onsite)

Job Summary
Assemble and test jet engines and APUs in a state-of-the-art aerospace facility. Work from procedures and engineering/operational instructions to layout, fabricate, assemble, and modify jet engine assembly/test articles and support equipment. Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly/components and test equipment. Inspect critical functions for final quality, monitor instrumentation during tests, and assist in training up to two team members. Complete documentation/sign-offs in procedures, prepare test articles for delivery to the test cell, troubleshoot instrumentation and test stands, and maintain facilities and test equipment in compliance with Pratt & Whitney, EHS, and Quality policies. Perform related duties as directed by supervision/lead mechanics to support department objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- 1+ years of formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing or 1+ years of automotive training or experience
