Job Summary

Assemble, test, rework, and repair machine components while performing production based on schedule. Ensure adherence to Standard Work Sheets to achieve quality products and avoid issues. Participate in pre-shift Process Improvement Dialogues, raise suggestions, and submit root cause analyses for specification gaps. Provide reports on material availability and equipment downtime to supervisors. Operate equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists while lifting up to 35 lbs frequently. Work in an environment with noise levels of 85db or greater, requiring hearing protection and safety gear. Perform tasks at multiple heights, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces. Stand for minimum 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks, kneeling, squatting, and crawling as needed. Use hand tools and fine motor skills for repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling. Read prints and use gauges for quality inspection. Maintain continuous process efficiency and follow engineering test specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Operate equipment including forklift, Hand Jack/pallet truck
  • Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
  • Lift up to 35lbs frequently
  • Work at multiple heights
  • Climb on equipment, machines, ladders and various step stools
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks
  • Work various shifts and workday schedules including nights and weekends
  • Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures and all weather conditions
  • Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices
  • Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees
  • Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting and forward head and rotation of neck
  • Work in tight spaces
  • Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating
  • Use of fine motor skills
  • Use of hand tools
  • Computer skills to access Cat Intranet
  • Ability to read prints and use gauges for Quality Inspection
  • Must be able to work any shift - working hours may change with business needs
  • Must successfully pass a preemployment drug screen held to the DOT standards for prohibited substances
  • Must not require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer (H, L, TN, F, J, E, O)
