Job Summary
Supplies parts and materials to operators and other teams as needed per the SLMS system. Follows utility routes to remove finished goods, deliver to ship stage, and supply work-in-progress parts using kanbans. Paces the route with a Heijunka board, activates flags for delays, and gauges, trains, and assists other utilities. Maintains equipment, ensures product placement in designated stores, and keeps routes and workstations organized. Uses a utility knife to open packages per safety procedures. Performs general housekeeping and completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices
- A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 16 on the Cognitive section)
- Must be physically capable of walking and pushing a cart for the entire work shift
- Must be able to move up to 40 pounds
- Repeated bending and lifting during the shift
- Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear
- Adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack for product movement
- Must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs for material changes
- Agreement to complete all post-hire required training
