Job Summary

Assemble, build, and fabricate defect-free parts and finished products per assigned written processes within the Value Stream. Hand solder components, measure and epoxy parts, and communicate with manufacturing engineering to resolve problems and implement process improvements. Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to 5S standards and ISO procedures while mentoring new employees. Provide routing feedback to supervisors regarding product issues and competitive information. Work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with flexibility for moderate overtime to meet seasonal demands.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Production or assembly background
  • Good hand-eye coordination skills
  • Must be able to read and understand written process
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Have attention to detail
  • Soldering skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be willing to follow all written and implied policies
  • Flexible forty-hour week
  • Must be able to work moderate overtime to meet seasonal/cyclical demands of the business
  • Light lifting (20-30 lbs.)
  • Ability to move within work cell as necessary
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended period of time

Desired Qualifications

  • Serve as a manufacturing cell's point person when needed/assigned
  • Attend/participate in instructor led and/or web-based company training as required
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
  • Willingness to travel internationally or outside of their normally designated geographical areas
  • Monitors ISO procedures and recommends changes when required using the approved ISO process
