Job Summary
Assemble parts according to process sheet instructions while performing electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing including dielectric, meggar, and hi-pot checks. Operate high temperature ovens and furnaces, perform vapor blasting, and conduct inventory counts. Assist with prototype builds, improve layout procedures, and maintain material expiration dates. Complete labor tracking documentation, Oracle transactions, and report problems to appropriate resources. Cross-train employees, communicate shift updates, and act as primary contact for auditors. Maintain compliance with safety procedures and GE Leadership behaviors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or GED equivalency
- 1 year manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces
- Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary
- Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro-Static discharge certification as required
- At least 18 years of age by the time of joining
- Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance
- Ability to continuously sit
- Ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee)
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status
- Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)
- Possess inspection stamp as required
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience
- Assembly, solder experience and/or electronics manufacturing experience
- Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
- Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge
