Job Summary
Assembler/Tester 1 at Pratt & Whitney in Mississauga, ON assembles aircraft engines and sub-assemblies per assembly floor sheets, ensures quality and proper tool/equipment handling, signs off on assembly floor sheets, documents build/test/disassembly activities, assists in troubleshooting, and participates in FOD prevention and EHS culture. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and approximately 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades; typically 2+ years in the aircraft field preferred. Shift work on a two-week rotation (days/afternoons) with potential alternate shifts. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred
- Awareness of EH&S and continuous improvement (an asset)
- Must be detail and result oriented
- Must possess a good capacity for teamwork
- Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem solve effectively
- Candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English
