Job Summary
Assemble parts according to process sheets and perform electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing (dielectric, megger, hipot, hi-pot); set up fixtures; perform vapor blasting; conduct in-process testing; manage inventory verification; assist with prototype or first-time builds and contribute to layout procedures and process sheets. Review material expiry dates to ensure materials and equipment remain current; seek continuous improvements to efficiency and quality; adhere to safety protocols and use proper PPE; cross-train teammates as needed; collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams on new processes; participate in team initiatives and uphold GE Leadership behaviors. This role includes documentation of labor activities and interaction with planning, with potential exposure to high-risk or hazardous operations and shifts beyond a standard week. The position is located in Norwich, CT, USA, and is a full-time role at $19.50/hour with eligibility for discretionary bonus based on salary plan.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or GED equivalency
- Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs
- U.S. export-controlled information; must meet U.S. Person requirements

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred assembly, solder experience and electronics manufacturing experience
