Job Summary
Read work orders and production drawings to perform assembly operations including crimping, soldering, and mounting components on chassis panels. Mount finished assemblies in cases, attach hardware, and tend machines that press or shape parts. Adjust materials for specifications, perform go-not-go testing and inspections, and prepare packaged products for shipping. Requires high school diploma, ability to read safety manuals, and knowledge of tools like soldering irons and power drills. Full-time schedule with on-call rotation available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understand structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Talk to others to convey information effectively
- Listening by giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
