Assembler Technician (Aerospace)

Job Summary
Perform fitting and assembly operations on production aircraft parts, including teardown and assembly of overhaul and repair designated components. Apply special adhesives for permanent bonding, control furnace temperatures per specifications, and execute marking operations using Vibro Engraving, electro-chemical etching, and other methods to meet customer requirements. Read blueprints, operation sheets, and technical manuals while maintaining records, identifying non-conformances immediately, and assisting lower classification operators. Participate in Lean production and Continuous Improvement projects to drive efficiency, actively support safety initiatives by raising concerns and developing corrective actions, and work with limited supervision to ensure high-quality output and eliminate errors.
Required Qualifications
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, operation sheets, technical specifications and overhaul manuals
- Must possess a skill level that eliminates errors that cause nonconforming material and maintain a consistent level of high quality work
- Identify non-conformances at time of occurrence
- Recognize opportunities for non-conformances and notify management of need for action
- Must work safely at all times
- Participate in safety improvement initiatives by raising any safety concerns and helping to come up with corrective actions
