Job Summary
Assemble retail merchandise including grills, furniture, lawn equipment, and farm equipment while maintaining a safe and clean atmosphere. Operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and Telxon guns, and assist with merchandise displays and general office tasks. Cross train to support Maintenance, Shop, and Receiving areas as needed. This physical role requires following assembly instructions independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess mechanical abilities, quick learning skills, and the capacity to lift up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical abilities and experience
- Quick learner
- Able to follow assembly instructions
- Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless hand-held unit
- Ability to complete computer-based training
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to repetitively lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively to all audiences
- Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack
- Close vision for computer work
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to verbally communicate in a professional manner with associates via a handheld transceiver and also customers
- Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
